Overview

Widely praised as an incredible new product class, MiFi wireless broadband router is a small, light, and slick device combining cellular 3G broadband modem with WiFi hostpot in one tiny package.

Novatel Wireless MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot for Verizon Wireless connects over the air to Verizon’s CDMA EvDO Rev A mobile broarband network, and delivers download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbp/s and upload speeds for up to 1.8 Mbp/s.

It then instantly creates a WiFi hostpot for up to 5 computers in the range of about 30 feet (10 meters).

Main advantage is that you don’t have to plug anything in your pc anymore, reusing your default WiFi mode instead. Sharing the connection means that you easily can connect your whole family using only one cellular data connection.

MiFi is your own cloud of connectivity: you can easily share your high-speed mobile connection with friends, family members and coworkers. It’s great for both personal and business use providing instant access to email, downloading large files, and surfing the web with your laptop while simultaneously allowing up to five computers or personal devices to be connected.

MiFi 2200 for Verizon, comes packaged with the VZAccess Manager, connection management software that automatically installs and connects to the best available network for the selected mode. The on-board power and service status LED indicators display battery and connection information.

MiFi could be powered from a computer via included USB cable. Charged up, the MiFi provides for up to 4 Hours of continual usage on a single charge. The lightweight, compact MiFi is small and light enough to fit in a shirt pocket, but is a powerful, mobile solution for any internet access challenge by connecting multiple devices to Verizon Wireless mobile broadband over WiFi.

Replaced 2 devices with 1

• …I thought, “It does nt get any better than this”

  I get a device that is smaller and half the thickness of my Cradlepoint PHS-300, but also contains the EV-DO modem. I take it with me everywhere I go. I connect to it via Wifi with any one of my 3 laptops, including a Mac, and even my iPhone!! Haha. If I am out and about friends connect their laptops and PDA’s including the iPod Touch to it, and browse the web just as fast as if it was directly connected…
